As we enter the ‘magic window’ - the crucial six weeks of recruitment leading up to Christmas, we’re seeing some fantastic new roles and appointments, so that organisations can begin their 2024 strategies with a bang. And, next year is looking promising for marketing, digital and technology roles as we see market confidence growing. Benazir Barlet-Batada, Marketing Director of Global Brands, Treasury Wine Estates 

After more than 14 years at Mondelēz International, Benazir Barlet-Batada has joined Treasury Wine Estates as Marketing Director of Global Brands. Treasury Wine Estates is a global leader in wine, with over 12,700 hectares of vineyards, 70-plus wine brands, and over 2,600 team members. 

Benazir is an award-winning marketer and was included in Marketing Week’s Top 100 Most Effective Marketers in 2022. She has strong expertise in building iconic brands, through creating strategy and driving execution to achieve results. Her roles at Mondelēz International included Senior Marketing Director Confectionary UK & Ireland and Marketing Activation Director Cadbury UK&I.

Paul Afshar, Deputy Chief Marketing Officer, Unlimit 

Congratulations to Paul Afshar on his new role as Deputy Chief Marketing Officer at Unlimit – the borderless payments provider, helping businesses to expend locally and internationally. 

Paul is an experienced marketing senior leader with a proven track record of growing B2B and B2C businesses. Previous roles include Acting Chief Marketing Officer at OSOME, Marketing Director at Dext – following a promotion from Global Marketing Head after just 10 months – Board Member (Marketing and Sales) for Circl, and he spent more than five years as Partner (Integrated Marketing) at agency Fleishman Hillard. 

When announcing his new role, Paul said, "Unlimit is a super-fast growing, borderless payment provider and I'm looking forward being a part of its next growth chapter."

Nic Casby, Head of Growth - UK, IRE & Nordics, Revolut 

Nic Casby been appointed Head of Growth - UK, IRE & Nordics at Revolut - the global financial super app, offering money transfer and exchange and with 30 million customers around the world.  

Nic has a proven track record in senior marketing roles within digital-first, tech scale-up and FMCG companies. He has an entrepreneurial spirit and commercially driven mindset. Previous roles include more than two years at Getir as Regional Head of Marketing, Europe and Head of Marketing, UK; and more than 10 years at The HEINEKEN Company including the Brand Director, Core Beer role. 

Nic is described as "highly professional, collaborative, team-focussed and bringing great ideas, Nic is an empathetic leader who adds great value to the teams he works with. "

Lisa McDowell, Chief Marketing Officer, Immersive Gamebox 

Congratulations to Lisa McDowell, the new Chief Marketing Officer at Immersive Gamebox – Gamebox combines projection mapping, touch screens, motion tracking, and surround sound technologies to create an entirely new form of digital entertainment. 

Lisa is an experienced marketing senior leader, who manages high-performing teams that drive commercial results. She spent more than three years at Ocado, including the Brand Director and Head of Brand Marketing roles; and more than four years at Deliveroo, including Head of Brand Strategy & Insight, Head of Insights - UK, and Head or PR, EMEA roles.
