About Gary

Gary is a highly respected and experienced CMO, whose expertise in customer-focussed strategy, omni-channel retail and branding has led to outstanding commercial results. He is the Chief Digital & Marketing Officer at Wickes – an established brand that has been supplying DIY products to the UK’s home improvement market since 1972.  

Prior to Wickes, Gary enjoyed CMO roles at Sainsburys Argos and Mothercare. He also spent more than 10 years at The Very Group, with roles including Business Transformation Director and Group Brand Director. Gary started his career as a Marketing Graduate Trainee, rising rapidly through the ranks to the Business Unit Director role.
